  1. Search – Yes through the published ones only by title, patentee name, inventors, and priority/PCT number/date
  2. Examination – Both formality and substantive
  3. Publication – Applications are published upon grant
  4. Opposition – There are no provisions
  5. Annuities – Paid after grant and payable on the anniversary of the international filing date. A grace period of 6 months for late payment of annuities with an extra charge
  6. Term of Protection – 20 years from the international filing date
  • Power of Attorney from the applicant simply signed and stamped indicating the name and title of the signatory.
  • Copies of the specification, claims, abstract and formal drawings.
  • Certified priority document.
  • Power of Attorney from the Assignee.
  • Deed of Assignment duly legalized by Moroccan Consulate
  • Power of Attorney in the new name and/or address, simply signed and stamped indicating the name and title of the signatory.
  • Extract from the Commercial Register
  • Power of Attorney from the entity surviving the merger, simply signed and stamped indicating the name and title of the signatory.
  • Certified copy of certificate of merger duly legalized by Moroccan Consulate
  • Power of Attorney from the licensee simply signed and stamped indicating the name and title of the signatory.
  • License agreement duly legalized by Moroccan Consulate
